TED, the powerful media tycoon persuades his wife JANE to conduct an exclusive interview with General NORMAN.
In accordance with the General's wishes the live broadcast takes place on a golf course located in the middle of the desert. Ever since the Vietnam War, Jane, a former peace activist, and the General have hated each other. In spite of this they grow closer as the General impresses Jane with stories about his experiences as commander-in-chief during the recent Gulf War. The show is interrupted by CARLOS, the most wanted terrorist in the world, and his two helpers ABU DSCHIHAD and IBN DSCHIHAD. They take the General and Jane hostage. Initially Carlos' demands are not very clear but luckily the media representatives present help him formulate them

NORMAN PLAYS GOLF is an exemplary exploration of the electronic media and their influence on the world. The satiric sub-plot is set in a fictitious News Channel TV show.
